Rummage Sale 31/01/12

There will be thousands of items and bargains galore at the Thursday Club Rummage Sale!

Thanks to The Thursday Club for Hosting This Great Event

Mom to Madre thanks all of the dedicated members of The Thursday Club for hosting their 85th annual Thursday Club Rummage Sale. It takes months of planning, collecting donations, deciding on recipients, and orchestrating this amazing community event. After a week of hard physical labor putting the goods out for sale, the club members hosted a Gala, where members and friends purchased the goods for 1.5% of the price that the public paid, as an additional fundraiser.

Saturday morning the doors were opened to people who had been waiting to come in, and the work selling the rummage began. Sunday, the prices were cut in half and many more people were able to buy items that they needed or liked for a great price. Many families and individuals benefitted from this affordable sale. Mom to Madre enjoyed finding books for as little as a quarter, which we will give to families and children in San Diego.

We are so proud to be a recipient of funds from this amazing event and from the tremendous effort by the outstanding members of the Thursday Club. Thank you to The Thursday Club.

The Thursday Club Rummage Sale was held March 10th & 11th in Balboa Park.

The entire Activity Center in Balboa Park was filled with goods and people.

Mom to Madre is proud to be one of the recipient of funds in this outstanding group.

Connie couldn't resist the great prices of books for kids!
